بَذُوَI , Present.T يَبْذُو, Verbal.Noun بَذَآءٌ and بَذَآءَةٌ, or the latter is the original form, but the ة is elided, as in جَمَالٌ, Verbal.Noun of جَمُلَ, or بَذَآءَةٌ is an Verbal.Noun of the verb with ء, but that of بذو is بَذَآءٌ; and some say, بَذِىَ, which is a dial. var. of the former, Present.T يَبْذَى, Verbal.Noun بَذَآءٌ; (T in art. بذأ;) He was, or became, foul, unseemly, or obscene [in tongue]; evil in speech; (T in art. بذأ;) as also بَذُؤَ, and بَذَأَ, (Msb and K in art. بذأ,) and بَذِئَ: and he uttered foul, unseemly, or obscene, speech or language. And بَذَوْتُ عَلَى القَوْمِ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun بَذَآءٌ; and عَلَيْهِمْ, or أَبْذَيْتُهُمْ, or both, I uttered foul, unseemly, or obscene, language against the people, or company of men: or behaved in a lightwitted, weak, stupid, or foolish, manner, or ignorantly, towards them; and uttered foul, unseemly, or obscene, language against them; and so though with truth. And بَذَا also signifies He was, or became, evil in disposition.
