بُزُوغٌI

2 Hence, بَزَغَ, said of a tush, or tusk, or canine tooth, or of the tush of a camel, [Present.T ـُ] Verbal.Noun بُزُوغٌ, It came forth; it clave the flesh, and came forth.
3 And hence, بَزَغَتِ الشَّمْسُ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun as above and بَزْغٌ, The sun began to rise; as though it clave the darkness with its light: or rose, with spreading light: or بُزُوغٌ has the meaning first explained above; the beginning to rise, or come forth. And in like manner one says, بَزَغَ القَمَرُ [The moon began to rise: or rose].
def.2 بَزَغَ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun بَزْغٌ, He scarified, and made the blood to flow: he scarified a beast in its أَشْعَر [or part next the hoof (in the TA, erroneously, شعر)], with a مِبْزَع of iron; as also بزّغ , Verbal.Noun تَبْزِيغٌ: Aboo- 'Adnán says that تَبْزِيغٌ and تَعْرِيبٌ signify the same, namely, the making a slight incision, or stab, such as does not reach the sinews, or tendons.
