بَغُضَI ; and بَغَضَ; Present.T [of both] ـُ; and بَغِضَ, Present.T ـَ; Verbal.Noun بَفَاضَةٌ, Verbal.Noun of the first; He, or it, was, or became, hateful, odious, or an object of hatred.
2 بَغُضَ جَدُّهُ His fortune, or good fortune, fell; syn. عَثَرَ. And بَغُضَ جَدُّكَ, or بَغَضَ, or بَغِضَ, May thy fortune, or good fortune, fall: syn. تَعَسَ, and عَثَرَ: a phrase ascribed by IB to the people of El-Yemen.
