بَلِيدٌ and أَبْلَدٌ Stupid, dull, wanting in intelligence; inert; wanting in vigour; not penetrating, sharp, vigorous, or effective, in the performing of affairs: [soft, weak, feeble; wanting in endurance, or patience:] contr. of جَلِيدٌ.
2 Also the former, A horse that lags behind those that outstrip in running: and a camel not to be rendered brisk, lively, or sprightly, by being put in motion.
