Full Definition

تعقّلهُV : see 1, near the middle:
2 and see 8, in four places.
3 تَعَقَّلْ لِى بِكَفَّيْكَ حَتَّى أَرْكَبَ بَعِيرِى, a saying heard by Az from an Arab of the desert, means Put thy two hands together for me, and intersert thy fingers together, in order that I may put my foot upon them, i. e. upon thy hands, and mount my camel; for the camel was standing; and was laden; and if he had made him to lie down, would not rise with him and his load.

def.2 [It is used in philosophical works as meaning He conceived it in his mind, abstractedly, and otherwise; and so, sometimes, , Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun عَقْلٌ. Hence one says, هٰذَا شَىْءٌ لَا يُتَعَقَّلُ This is a thing that is not conceivable.]
