جَارِزٌ , applied [to land, and hence,] to a woman, Barren: the woman is likened to land that produces no herbage. [See also جُرُزٌ.]
2 أَرْضٌ جَارِزَةٌ Dry and rugged land encompassed by sands or by a [level tract such as is called] قَاع: pl. جَوَارِزُ: mostly applied to islands of the sea.
