2 جاوز الحَدَّ, and القَدْرَ, Verbal.Noun مُجَاوَزَةٌ; and so تجاوز , alone; He exceeded, or transgressed, the proper bound, or limit, or measure; acted extravagantly, exorbitantly, or immoderately: he, or it, was, or became, excessive, extravagant, exorbitant, or immoderate.
3 جَاوَزْتُ الشَّىْءِ أِلَى غَيْرِهِ I passed from the thing [to another thing]; as also ; i. q. .
4 جاوز عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ: see 6.
5 [Hence, app.,] كَانَ مِنْ خُلُقِى الجِوَازُ It was of my disposition to be easy, or facile, in selling and demanding.
