جَذْلَانُ [in copies of the K with tenween, but correctly without tenween, for the fem. is جَذْلَآءُ,] Joyful, glad, or happy; as also جَذِلٌ ; and جَاذِلٌ occurs in poetry: pl. جُذْلَانٌ. You say, نَفْسُهُ جَذْلَآءُ بِذٰلِكَ His soul is joyful, glad, or happy, by means of that.
