جَرِيمٌ

Full Definition

جَرِيمٌ Dates (تَمْرٌ) cut off from the tree; as also مَجْرُومٌ . And شَجَرَةٌ جَرِيمَةٌ A cut tree.
2 See also جَرَامٌ, with which it is syn. in two senses: in the latter sense having جَرِيمَةٌ for its n un.
3 Also A thing with which date-stones are brayed, or crushed.

def.2 See also مُجْرِمٌ.

def.3 Also Large-bodied; and so مَجْرُومٌ : pl. جِرَامٌ. The fem. of the former is with ة: [but] one says also جِلَّةٌ جَرِيمٌ, meaning Largebodied camels advanced in age.

def.4 In El- Hijáz, The [measure commonly termed] مُدّ is thus called; accord. to Z, the مُدّ of the Prophet.
