Full Definition

جُلَاهِقٌ Bullets, syn. بُنْدُقٌ, or rounded things, made of clay, which one shoots [from a cross-bow]: n. un. with ة: a Persian word, arabicized; in Persian جُلَهْ, meaning “ a ball of thread; ” pl. جُلَهَا; applied also to “ a weaver; ” i. e., جلها is so applied. Hence, قَوْسُ الجُلَاهِقِ [The cross-bow for shooting bullets].
