جَنَنٌ A grave; because it conceals the dead: and so جَنِينٌ , of the measure فَعيلٌ in the sense of the measure فَاعِلٌ.
2 Grave-clothing; for the same reason.
3 A garment that conceals the body. [See also جَنَانٌ.]
