حَانِيَةٌ [fem. of حَانٍ, q. v.]
2 The pl. الحَوَانِى [as a subst.] signifies The longest of the ribs; four in number; two on either side.
3 And حَوَانِى الهَرَمِ The benders of the back of the old man, that cause him to fall prostrate.
