حَجَأَبِهِI , Present.T ـَ He rejoiced in it, or at it; namely, a thing, or an affair or event; as also حَجِىءَ به, Present.T ـَ: or the latter, he was, or became, attached to it, and tenacious of it; as also حَجِىَ به, without ء; and تحجّأ به: or he laid, or kept, hold upon it, and clave to it; as also حَجِىَ به, without ء; and حَجَأَبه, and تحجّأ به.
2 حَجَأَ عَنْهُ كذَا, Present.T ـَ He kept, or withheld, from him such a thing.
