حَرَبَهُI , Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun حَرَبٌ, He despoiled him of his wealth, or property; or plundered him; leaving him without anything.
2 [Hence,] حُرِبَ, or حُرِبَ مَالَهُ, He was, or became, despoiled, or plundered, of his wealth, or property, or of all his wealth, or property; as also حَرِبَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun حَرَبٌ. You say, مَا لَهُ جَرِبَ وحَرِبَ: see art. جرب. And حُرِبَ دِينَهُ He was despoiled of his religion; was rendered, or became, an unbeliever.
3 [And hence,] حَرِبَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun حَرَبٌ, He said وَا حَرَبَا, or وَا حَرَبَاهْ: [see حَرَبٌ, below.]
4 And حَرِبَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun حَرَبٌ, He was, or became, angry, or violently angry. And i. q. كَلِبَ [meaning He was, or became, affected with canine madness: see حَرِبٌ]. And He was, or became, like a lion; as also .
