حَمِشَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun حَمْشٌ and حَمَشٌ, He became slender in the shanks.
2 حَمِشَ عُظَيْمُ سَاقِهِ, Present.T ـَ; and حَمِشَتْ قَوَائِمُهُ, or حَمَشَتْ; and حَمِشَتِ السَّاقُ, Verbal.Noun حَمْشٌ; or حَمَشَتِ السَّاقُ, Present.T ـِ; and حَمُشَت, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun حُمُوشَةٌ and حَمَاشةٌ, The small bone of his shank, and his legs, and the shank of a woman, became slender. And the like is said, metaphorically, of the whole body. You say also, الوَتَرُ The bow-string became slender: and its being so is better.
