حَمْنَانٌ Small قِرْدَان [or ticks]; as also حَمْنٌ : n. un. with ة: accord. to As, the first of the قُرَاد is termed قَمْقَامَةٌ, when very small; then it is termed حَمْنَانَةٌ; then, قُرَادٌ; then, حَلَمَةٌ; then, عَلٌّ; and then, طِلْحٌ.
2 Also A sort of grapes of Et-Táïf, black inclining to redness, of which the berries are small and few: or the small berries that are between the large berries, so in the M, among the grapes.
