حُوَاطَةٌ An enclosure (حَظِيرَة) made for wheat: or it signifies a thing which one soon quits, or relinquishes, or from which one soon abstains; and so حُوَاطٌ , as occurring [accord. to one relation] in a verse cited voce عُرْسٌ.
