ـِ Verbal.Noun حَىٌّ, or حَوَايَةٌ, or both, He collected it; brought it, drew it, or gathered it, together; as also
: he grasped it; got, or gained, possession of it: and
signifies the same; as also عَلَيْهِ: or this last, he took, or got, possession of it; took it, got it, or held it, within his grasp, or in his possession: and حَوَاهُ signifies also he possessed it: and, said of a place [&c., as also
عليه and
], it comprised, comprehended, or contained, it.
