Full Definition

خَرْفَى The جلبان, (i. e. جُلُبَّان, or جُلْبَان, &c., accord. to different copies of the K, [see art. جلب,]) a well-known grain or seed, of the kind called قَطَانِىّ [i. e. pulse]: an arabicized word, from خَرْبَى, which is Persian; also called خُلَّرٌ.
