Full Definition

خَيْطَفٌ , or خَطِيفٌ , A quick, or swift, camel; as though he strained, or stretched, his neck, in going along: and the former, a camel of the [excellent and swift] kind called مَهَارِىّ: pl. خَيَاطِفُ.
2 خَيْطَفٌ, or خَطَفَى , [as meaning Quick,] is also applied to [the pace termed] عَنَقٌ; and so خَيْطَفَى .
