دَبِيلٌ دِبْلٌ and دِبْلٌ are intensive expressions meaning A severe, or heavy, calamity or misfortune: (K, * TA: [in the CK, دَبْلٌ, which is said in the TA to be incorrect:]) or a severe, or heavy, bereavement.
