ذِنَابَةٌ : see ذَنَبٌ, in six places:
2 and see مِذْنَبٌ, in two places.
3 ذِنَابَةٌ الطَّرِيقِ The point, or place, to which the way, or road, leads; syn. وَجْهُهُ. So in the saying of Abu-l-Jarráh, to a certain man, إِنَّكَ لَمْ تَرْشَدْ ذِنَابَةَ الطَّرِيقِ [ Verily thou didst not follow a right course in respect of the point, or place, to which the way that thou tookest leads].
