رَابٍ[
Increasing, or augmenting: &c.
2 Hence,] فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً, in the Kur [lxix. 10], And He punished them with a punishment exceeding other punishments; a vehement punishment.
def.2 اِمْرَأَةٌ رَابِيَةٌ A woman affected with what is termed رَبْوٌ; [i. e., out of breath; &c.; ] as also رَبْوَآءُ .
