رَتَمَI , Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun رَتْمٌ, He broke a thing: and bruised it, or crushed it, much: or, accord. to Lh, specially, he broke the nose: (M, K: [but see رَتْمٌ, below:]) and رَثَمَ [q. v.] signifies the same: you say, رَتَمَ أَنْفَهُ and رَثَمَهُ [He broke his nose].
