Full Definition

رَحَتِI , Present.T تَرْحُو [and app. تَرْحَى also (see رَحْيَةٌ)]; and ; The serpent turned round about, and twisted, or wound, or coiled, itself; ISd adds, كَالرَّحّى [i. e. like the mill, or millstone]; for which reason it is said to be إِحْدّى بَنَاتِ طِبَقٍ.

def.2 رَحَوْتُ الرَّحَا or الرَّحَى, Verbal.Noun رَحْوٌ; and رَحَيْتُهَا, Verbal.Noun رَحْىٌ; I turned round the رحا or رحى [i. e. the mill, or mill-stone]: or I made it: in the K, the latter verb is said to be extr.; but not so in the T or S or M: in the M it is said to be the more common.
