رَشِيقَةٌ

Full Definition

رَشِيقَةٌ A swift-shooting bow; as also رَشُوقٌ and رَشَقٌ .
2 أَجَلٌ رَشِيقٌ and رَشُوقٌ [A period] quick [in passing].
3 رَشِيقٌ applied to a boy, or to a man, and مُرْشِقٌ , and رَشِيقَةٌ applied to a girl, Just in proportion, and slender: or goodly, or beautiful, and slender, in stature, or person: or رَشِيقٌ and مُرْشِقٌ signify a boy, or a person, light, or active, in his work; and in the same sense are applied to a girl: the pl. [or rather quasi-pl. n.] of رَشِيقٌ is رَشَقٌ , like as أَدَمٌ is of أَدِيمٌ, and أَفَقٌ of أَفِيقٌ.
