رَصِعَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun رَصَعٌ, or, as in the L, رُصُوعٌ, It stuck, adhered, or clave, to it; as also . You say, أَسْنَانُهُ His teeth were near together, and stuck, adhered, or clave, together. [See also the part. n. of the latter verb, below.]
2 رَصِعَ بِالطِّيبِ i. q. عَبِقَ بِهِ [app. meaning He kept, or became addicted to, the use of perfume; syn. أُولِعَ بِهِ: but accord. to the TK, he rubbed, or anointed, himself with perfume].
3 رَصَعَ بِالمَكَانِ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun رَصْعٌ, He remained, stayed, dwelt, or abode, in the place.

def.2 رَصَعَ الشَّىةءَ He tied the thing in a complicated treble knot, such as the knots of the تَمِيمَة and the like: [or perhaps this is a mistranscription, for ; for it is added,] when you take a thong, and tie in it treble knots, this [action] is [termed] تَرْصِيعٌ.
