رَعِيبٌ
Afraid, or frightened, or terrified: [or filled with fear: or in a state of the utmost fear or terror: ] and so
مَرْعُوبٌ , and
مُرَعَّبٌ , and
مُرْتَعِبٌ : and
signifies [the same; or] weak and cowardly. [Hence,] رَجُلٌ رَعِيبُ العَيْنِ and

A cowardly man, who sees nothing without being frightened. [رَغِيبُ العَيْنِ has a different meaning: see art رغب.]
2 Also Fat, as an epithet; dripping with grease: and so مُرَعْبِبٌ . And applied to a camel's hump as meaning Full and fat.
