Full Definition

رَوْشَمٌ i. q. رَوْسَمٌ as meaning The [small engraved] tablet, or the stamp, or seal, with which collections of wheat or corn [in their repositories] are stamped, or sealed; as also رَاشُومٌ . And The thing with which [the mouth of] a vessel is stamped, or sealed; and رَاشُومٌ signifies [the same; or] a stamp, or seal, with which the head [or mouth] of a [large jar such as is called] خَابِيَة is stamped, or sealed: (TA in art. رسم:) as also رَوْسَمٌ and رَاسُومٌ: or a stamp, or seal, in a general sense; as also رَوْسَمٌ.
