زَائِرٌ A person visiting; a visiter: fem. زَائِرَةٌ: pl. زَائِرُونَ, masc., and زَائِرَاتٌ, fem., and زُوَّارٌ, masc., and زَوَّرٌ, masc., and fem.: and زَوْرٌ signifies the same as زَائِرٌ and زَائِرَةٌ and زَائِرُونَ and زَائِرَاتُ; being originally an Verbal.Noun; or, as syn. with زائرون, it is a quasi-pl. n.; by some called a pl. of زَائِرٌ. It is said in a trad., إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا [Verily there is to thy visiter, or visiters, a just claim upon thee]. [And hence,] زَوْرٌ also signifies A phantom that is seen in sleep.
