زَمَّارَةٌ

Full Definition

زَمَّارَةٌ [fem. of زَمَّارٌ, q. v.
2 Also] i. q. مِزْمَارٌ, q. v.
3 And A سَاجُور [i. e. collar, or collar of iron,] that is put upon the neck of a dog.
4 And metaphorically used as meaning A جَامِعَة; [i. e.] A [shackle for the neck and hands, such as is called] غُلّ. And A bar of iron (عَمُودٌ) between the two rings of the [shackle called] غُلّ: so termed because of its sound.
5 Also A she-ostrich.
