سَاقِبٌ [in the CK ثاقب] Near; and likewise with ص; as also and سَقَبٌ , [likewise pronounced with ص,] for ذُو سَقَبٍ, or it may be an Verbal.Noun used as a subst. or an epithet, and مُسْقِبٌ . You say مَكَانٌ سَاقِبٌ A near place: and مَنْزِلٌ سَقَبٌ and مُسْقِبٌ a near place of alighting or abode: and مِنْ دَارِهِ My house is near his house.
