Full Definition

سُرَاطِىٌّ A great eater; as also سِرْوَاطٌ and سِرْطِمٌ : or one who swallows everything; as also سِرْوَاطٌ and سِرْطِمٌ and سَرْطَمٌ ; from الاِسْتِرَاطُ; the م, accord. to IJ, being augmentative; and so سِرْوَطٌ . [See also سُرَطٌ.]
2 Also, and سُرَاطٌ , A sword that cuts much, or well; that passes into the object that is struck with it; that goes quickly into the flesh.
3 سُرَاطِىُّ الجَرْىِ A horse that runs vehemently. [See again سُرَطٌ.]
