, Present.T
ـَ Verbal.Noun سَكَرٌ and سُكْرٌ, or this is a simple subst., and سُكُرٌ and سَكْرٌ and سِكَرٌ and سَكَرَانٌ, He was, or became, intoxicated, inebriated, or drunken; contr. of
صَحَا. [See also سُكْرٌ, below.]
2 [Hence,] سَكِرَ عَلَىَّفُلَانٌ, Verbal.Noun سَكَرٌ, Such a one was, or became, violently angry with me: or angry; or enraged. And لَهُ عَلَىَّ سَكَرٌ He has violent anger against me.
3 And سَكِرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا; and سَكِرَت أَبْصَارُ القَوْمِ; and سَكِرَتْ عَيْنُهُ: see 2.
4 Also سَكِرَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun سَكَرٌ, It was, or became, full.
5 And سَكِرَتِ الرِّيحُ, or سَكَرَت, Present.T ـُ or, as some relate a verse of Jendel Ibn-El-Muthennà Et- Tuhawee, in which it occurs, ـَ [indicating that the pret. is سَكِرَت or that the Present.T is irreg.,] Verbal.Noun سُكُورٌ and سَكَرَانٌ, The wind became still, after blowing. And سَكَرَ, [or سَكِرَ,] Verbal.Noun سُكُورٌ, It became still, ceasing to run: so says AZ: and it became calm, or motionless: so says IAar. And سَكِرَ, or سَكَرَ, Present.T
