سَهْلٌ
Smooth or soft, plain or level, or smooth and soft: or anything inclining to smoothness or softness, plainness or levelness, or smoothness and softness; inclining to have little roughness, or ruggedness and hardness; and
سَهِلٌ signifies the same. You say أَرْضٌ سَهْلَةٌ, [meaning the same as سَهْلٌ used as a subst., expl. in what follows,] contr. of
حَزْنَةٌ. See also 2, last sentence.
2 Also Easy, or facile; contr. of صَعْبٌ. You say رَجُلٌ سَهْلُ الخُلُقِ [A man easy of disposition]: [and] سَهْلُ المَقَادَةِ [easy to be led]. And كَلَامٌ سَهْلُ المَأْخَذِ
