شِرْذِمَةٌ A party, or company, (طَائِفَةٌ,) of men, or people: or a small company: or a small number of men, or people: and so شِرْدِمَةٌ, with the unpointed د, on the authority of AA: the former occurring in the Kur xxvi. 54.
2 A piece, or portion, of a thing, of a quince &c.: pl. شَرَاذِمُ and شَرَاذِيمُ.
3 [Hence,] ثَوْبٌ شَرَاذِمُ, or ثِيَابٌ شَرَاذِمُ, A garment, or garments, old and worn out, much rent.
