dim. of شَعَفَةٌ: pl. شُعَيْفَاتٌ.] One says, مَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ إِلَّا شُعَيْفَاتٌ
There is not upon his head aught save some small hairs of the [pendent lock of hair termed] ذُؤَابَة.
