شِقْصٌ A piece, or part, of a thing; as also شَقِيصٌ : or a little, of much; as also ↓ the latter: and ↓ the latter, a little, or paltry, thing: and the former, a piece of land: or a share; syn. سَهْمٌ, or حَظٌّ, and نَصِيبٌ, and شِرْكٌ, which signifies the same as نَصِيبٌ; as also شَقِيصٌ ; like نِصْفٌ and نَصِيفٌ: as, for instance, in property; and of a slave: or a certain share not divided: or if divided it may also be thus called: pl. [of pauc.] أَشْقَاصٌ and [of mult.] شِقَاصٌ.
