def.2 Also a name given by the Arabs to Saturday, (S in this art., and K in art. شير,) in the Time of Ignorance: (TA in art. شير:) pl. [of pauc.] أَشْيُرٌ and [of mult.] شُيُرٌ and شِيرٌ: accord. to Zj, you may say ثَلَاثَةُ شِيرٍ [Three Saturdays, using شِير as a pl. of pauc.]: so in the Tekmileh.
