صَفْصَفَةٌ [fem. of صَفْصَفٌ, q. v.

def.2 Also] i. q. سِكْبَاجَةٌ [n. un. of سِكبَاجٌ, q. v., i. e., A mess of the kind of food thus called]; as also صَفْصَافَةٌ , which is of the dial. of Thakeef.

def.3 And A certain insect (دُوَيْبَّة, Lth, M, O), by the Persians (العَجَم) called the سِيسَك [i. e. weevil]: a word adventitious to the Arabic language.
