صُهْبَةٌ and صُهُوبَةٌ and صَهَبٌ , [the last said in the L and Msb and TA to be an Verbal.Noun, and so may be each of the others, used as simple substs.,] Redness, or [a redness such as is termed] شُقْرَة, in the hair of the head and of the beard, when the exterior is red, with blackness in the interior: or a tinge of redness over the hair, the roots being black, so that the hair when anointed appears as though it were black: or redness in blackness: or redness, of the hair, tinged over with blackness: or, as some say, redness of the whole of the hair.
