صَيْخَدٌ

2 Also الصَّيْخَدُ, or صَيْخَدُ الشَّمْسِ, The rays (عَيْن) of the sun: so called because of the heat thereof. One says, ذَابَ صَيْخَدُ الشَّمْسِ [The rays of the sun became intensely hot], and اِسْتَذَابَ الصَّيْخَدُ [which means the same].
