ضَابِحٌ A man raising his voice in reading or reciting: pl. ضَوَابِحُ, which is anomalous, like فَوَارِسُ [pl. of فَارِسٌ].
2 And خَيْلٌ ضَوَابِحُ Horses stretching forth their arms in their going along: or running vehemently; like ضَوَابِعُ. (TA in art. ضبع.)
