ضَابِعٌ

Full Definition

ضَابِعٌ A she-camel stretching forth her arms (أَضْبَاعَهَا, S, K, i. e. أَعْضَادَهَا, S) in going along: or lifting her foot towards her arm in going along: so accord. to an explanation by As of the former of the two following pls.: the pl. is ضَوَابِعُ and ضُبَّعٌ. And A horse that runs vehemently; like ضَابِحٌ, of which the pl. is ضَوَابِحُ: or that runs much: or that bends his hoof towards his arm: or that inclines towards one of his sides, and bends his neck.
