Sb says that this verb is [originally طَوِحَ, Present.T يَطْوِحُ, i. e.,] of the measure فَعِلَ, Present.T يَفْعِلُ; like وَلِىَ, Present.T يَلِى; accord. to those who say طَوَّحَهُ, and not طَيَّحَهُ: but accord. to those who say طَيَّحَهُ, it is [originally طَيَحَ, Present.T يَطْيِحُ, of the measure فَعَلَ, Present.T يَفْعِلُ,] like بَاعَ, Present.T يَبِيعُ.
