ظَمِئَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun ظَمَأٌ and ظَمْءٌ and ظَمَآءٌ and ظَمَآءَةٌ, in one copy of the K ظَمْأَة, He thirsted, or was thirsty: or as some say, he thirsted in the slightest degree.
2 Hence, ظَمِئَ إِلَى لِقَائِهِ He desired, or longed, [or, as we often say, thirsted,] to meet with him.
