عَارِدٌ : see عَرْدٌ.
2 Also Separate; syn. مُنْتَبِذٌ. In the saying of a rájiz, of a man of the Benoo-Asad, or of Hajl, a freedman of the Benoo-Fezárah, describing a male camel, [and the sutures of his skull,] or it is of Aboo-Mohammad El-Fak'asee, تَرَى شُؤُونَ رَأْسِهِ العَوَارِدَا not رَأْسِهَا, as in the S, the last word [pl. of عَارِدٌ] means separate (مُنْتَبِذَة) one from another: or rugged (غَلِيظَة): or rising high, or elevated.
