ـِ Verbal.Noun عَتْكٌ, The perfume stuck to him, or it.
2 And عَتَكَ البَوْلُ عَلَى فَخِذِ النَّاقَةِ The urine dried upon the thigh of the she-camel: but as some relate a verse cited as an ex. of the verb in this sense, it is عَبَكَ.
3 And عَتَكَ بِهِ, Verbal.Noun as above, He, or it, clave to him, or it.
4 عَتَكَتْ بِالطِّيبِ She daubed, or smeared, herself with perfume.
5 عَتَكَتِ القَوْسُ, Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun عَتْكٌ and عُتُوكٌ, The bow became red in its wood by reason of oldness.
