عَقَاقٌ is an Verbal.Noun of عَقَّتْ said of a mare and of an ass: or it signifies Pregnancy itself; as also عِقَاقٌ , and عَقَقٌ [which is likewise said to be an Verbal.Noun of عَقَّتْ]. You say, أَظْهَرَتِ الأَتَانُ عَقَاقًا The she-ass manifested pregnancy.
