عَوَرَةٌ a subst. meaning عَوَرٌ [q. v.]: [it is mentioned in the S as a subst., and app., from the context, as signifying عَوَرٌ, i. e. A blindness of one eye: after the mention of رَجُلٌ أَعْوَرُ, and the phrase بَدَلٌ أَعْوَرُ and خَلَفٌ أَعْوَرُ, in the S, it is added, وَالاِسْمُ العَوَرَةُ, or, accord. to one copy, العَوْرَةُ; and then follows, وَقَدْ عَارَتِ العَيْنُ.]
